Thirty years, three businesses and three kids later, Becky and Andy Funk's uncommon story is one of perseverance, vision, inspiration and love. In 2003, combining Andy’s entrepreneurial spirit and Becky’s love of hip-hop dance, this driven couple created a visionary platform called Monsters of HipHop that would transform the commercial dance industry. After operating B.Funk Dance Company for nearly 15 years in Howard County, MD, The Funks assembled an A-List faculty that took the industry by storm attracting dancers from all over the globe, fulfilling dreams and launching thousands of dance careers. Having their headquarters completely destroyed in both Ellicott City floods, Monsters settled on historic Winters Lane in Catonsville and look forward to contributing to the vibrant Arts & Entertainment District. Becky and Andy’s commitment to family values, community service and philanthropy has helped create a reputation that goes far beyond just the dance world.
